NCAA discussing possible disqualification for South Carolina
Men’s Curling team broke the “gentleman’s agreement”

There is an on going investigation being conducted by the NCAA to see if there are any rules broken by the Men’s curling team. They just completed the SEC tournament, where they were victorious in a controversial championship game. An appeal has been initiated by the University of Kentucky stating the University of South Carolina had an advantage in the championship game by using banned brooms.

The players and coaches have been informed to not communicate with the media and to fully cooperate with league officials during this investigation.

At this point in time we are not able to comment on this investigation as it is on going. When the NCAA has come to a conclusion we will issue another press release stating when our press conference will take place

St Clair College says “I WILL” to Under Armour

St. Clair College and Under Armour would like to announce that they have signed a 5 year deal, which would replace Adidas as their current sponsor. Under Armour who is one of the biggest companies in the sporting apparel business will now be supplying the college with UA gear.

Under Armour has created apparel for all types of weather whether it be scorching hot or freezing cold they have the apparel that will allow the student athletes to play without any distractions from the weather. One of the reason St. Clair college decided to sign with Under Armour, is the fact that they have a wide variety of sports clothing which bodes well for the Saints due to the fact that they have numerous sport teams from outdoor sports; Soccer, Baseball, Golf to indoor sports; Basket-Ball, Volley-Ball, Badminton. Having this many sport teams, the college needed to find a company that could cover almost too every sport that they offer to their students and Under Armour was that company.

This is a good day for both St. Clair College and Under Armour as both these organizations will benefit from the deal signed today.

If you would like any more information on the Varsity Athletic programs or Under Armour apparel please visit www.saintsathletics.ca or www.underarmour.com

Walter Payton Man of the Year Award

Hello Saints Nation!
I am here to let you know that even though the New Orleans Saints are not playing for the SuperBowl this year, we can still have something to be proud of as one of the members of the team is up for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. His name is Benjamin Watson he is the tight end for the New Orleans Saints and had a breakthrough season this year and is transitioning into Drew Brees (the Saints quaterback) favorite and reliable target. For those of you who don't know the Man of the Year Award is named after the late great Walter Payton who was a running back for the Chicago Bears. This award is given to an individual that is not only an exceptional player on the field but an even better citizen of the field helping out in his community to make it better then it was before. This award shows that these players aren't just playing for the money and to win championships, they are using their status as pro athletes to make a difference in the community. Whether it's to improve their community, help kids get active and stay off the streets, in the case for New Orleans help rebuild neighborhoods destroyed by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. Knowing all this I am looking for the help of the Who Dat Nation to rally around their tight end and show the NFL why he deserves to be named Man of the Year. The recipient of the award is chosen by a committed within the NFL. We need the fans all around the world to show and bring awareness to Benjamin Watson's case and show why he deserves to receive the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. One thing is for sure even if Benjamin Watson does not win this award he and the rest of the Saints organization will not stop helping their community to get back to where they were before the hurricane and then even better then that. The Who Dat Nation is special community and it just goes to show that a hurricane can not break the spirits of this community. This just goes to show that nothing can stop the Saints and that The Saints will and always will go Marching In!!
